Structural repair is the heartbeat of any ship repair company and SCW&M has a dedicated team of professionals to support our efforts. With over a decade of experience supporting Ship’s force, Prime Contractors and US Navy leadership we are held in high esteem.

Capabilities include plate and tube rolling, press forming, braking, drilling, machining, CNC water jet, CNC lathe, mill and plasma cutting, shears, in-place machining pipe benders, all located in over 80,000 sq.ft. of covered ventilated space with multiple overhead cranes.

Our fabrication services include CNC Water Jet Cutting, CNC Plasma Cutting, Angle Iron and Tube Rolling, Metal Forming, Pipe Notching and Rolling, Press Forming and Braking, Plate Rolling and specialized welding.

Our welders are certified to Military, ABS and AWS Standards, with the ability to weld all processes SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and GTAW. Our welders are trained and experienced in all aspects of welding ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Our Mechanical Division is supported by a state-of-the-art machine shop, structural shop, and weld shop capable of fully refurbishing all equipment to ensure a complete rebuild. All work is accomplished by highly skilled tradesmen, supervisors and managers who have decades of experience.

Southcoast Welding & Manufacturing offers a wide range of machining services. Using CNC machining and CAD/CAM software, our machining facility is dedicated to quality parts and on time delivery. We specialize in general machining, production runs, custom parts, and repairs. We can reverse engineer to support unique and shipbuilding projects.

We accept CAD file formats which include IGES, STEP, DFX, DWG, and PDF. Our Machining Facility is supported by a fully equipped fabrication shop, weld shop and mechanical shop.

We specialize in large Ship-alts of electrical/electronic equipment, and our electricians support many shipboard installs, including troubleshooting, removal, installation, repair and testing. Our field and shop electrical technicians are highly skilled and fully certified Marine Electricians. Our supervisors and managers have over 50 years of experience in the electrical field.

Southcoast Welding & Manufacturing has expanded our fabrication capability to include the manufacture of Navy standard structural and ballistic watertight, airtight, and non-tight doors, hatches, and scuttles. We can provide repair parts for all these items, as well as ladders and manholes. SCW&M also has the expertise to manufacture non-standard closures when drawings or specifications differ from established standards for size, material, or pressure requirements. Inherent in our manufactured closures would be the quality and reliability you have come to expect from SCW&M.

The Pipe Department repairs and manufactures a multitude of pipe systems and SHIP-alts for all military ships.
